HardwareThe transistors finally arrived, and they were tested and installed onto the existing circuit boards. Additionally, the circuit boards could now be connected and installed onto the newly developed frame for the inhaler. The only component not yet included in the current prototype is the battery, since once the battery is attached, the onboard controller cannot be turned off without the proper software. Therefore, until the proper software is developed and flashed onto the board, the battery will be left off the device, and it will be powered by its USB port. This upcoming week, the software for the prototype will be developed. Since all the components have been tested, software corresponding to each of the components already exist, and the bulk of the work will be integrating the blocks of code together. Mechanical DesignMinor updates were made to the design after printing the model to allow for better 3D printing and to accommodate the different sensors. It remains the same in appearance. Mobile App DevelopmentThe minimum app version was downgraded from API level 29 (Android 10) to API level 23 (Android 6.0) to be able to support a larger range of devices. Some preliminary work into selecting a colour scheme for the app has been done as well. The next steps are to update the colour scheme and perform some UI testing to ensure that all basic functionalities of the app perform as expected. Fixes made need to be made based on the UI testing results. MarketingQR code is developed for the website to be integrated into future marketing projects and will be added to the project's poster.
